the triple rainbow

At the Kiettime fell, 27th July 1736

We saw a singular appearance in the sky at seven o'clock, as the sun shone
from the N.W. there appered in the rain which was falling in the S.E. three raindows, the colours of the internal and external of which were vivid ; of the middlemost, which was parallel to the internal one, and which bifected the external, the colours were not so lively.
