Since trees do not grow in the extreme North owing to the harsh frost and frightful storms, the folks of these climes make cabins inside the skeletons of gigantic monsters and reside in their shelter. The cabin windows are made either in the monster's ribs or in the cabin roof, where an outlet for smoke is also opened. In the animal area, a rooster sits in the rafters that functions as a clock and awakens people in the dark to go to work, since night is as long as the entire winter. In these cabins, the sleeping people dream of being eternally threatened by storms at sea and shipwrecked.
